NADRA Introduced Get CNIC Online Service

NADRA has launched its new online CNIC issuance system by the name of Pak-Identity, which allows you to apply online for your CNIC and have it delivered to your doorstep. Saach.TV

Now you don’t have to stand in long bone-breaking queues of NADRA offices to get yourself an ID card.

All you need to do is to complete 3 quick steps. Modify or renew your ID card and prepare the supporting documents, capture your portrait photograph, and then simply apply online by making an account on NADRA’s website.

But yes you also don’t have to wait at your home hoping that NADRA would deliver you your ID card some day. You can even track your application by texting your Application Tracking ID to 8400 if you are based in Pakistan. Otherwise, if you are an overseas applicant you can check the status of your application by logging in at Pak-Identity’s website.

Perhaps a big challenge for NADRA will be now to verify the fingerprint scans it will receive. Although it has outlined on its website how to capture fingerprints properly, it is not clear how it will make sure that the fingerprint belongs to the person applying for the ID card. Perhaps, the government has still got a lot of thinking to do.
